If you haven’t yet downloaded Chick-fil-A’s mobile app, there’s a new incentive to do it this month.
Through Jan. 31, the chicken chain is offering free eight-count orders of its classic nuggets to anyone who creates a Chick-fil-A One account or signs into an existing account on the Chick-fil-A mobile app.
Or customers can exchange the free nuggets for Chick-fil-A’s new Kale Crunch Side, which was released nationwide Monday, the company announced in a news release.
Although getting a freebie for joining a rewards program or downloading an app is common among fast-food chains, it is rare for a company to reward existing loyalty members too.
The 120-calorie Kale Crunch Side is described as a “a blend of kale and cabbage tossed with Apple Cider and Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette and topped with salted, crunchy almonds.” It can be substituted for Waffle Potato Fries at no additional charge, according to the release.
The new side replaces the Superfood Side, which also included kale, and was tested in Florida, Iowa and Texas last spring.

With the Chick-Fil-A One free tiered membership program, members get points with every purchase placed through the app or by scanning their Chick-fil-A One QR code at participating restaurants.
