A TEENAGER has died after “falling ill” at Creamfields dance music festival.
The 19-year-old was rushed to hospital after he was spotted looking unwell by security staff at the festival in Warrington, Cheshire.
But sadly he couldn’t be saved and he passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning.
His family have been informed and a post-mortem to establish a cause of death will be carried out in due course.
Detective Inspector Alistair Hinze, from Cheshire Police, said: “There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“A file will prepared for the coroner and our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.”
Creamfields runs throughout the August bank holiday with around 70,000 people attending each day.

A Creamfields spokesperson said: “We are deeply saddened to hear of this tragic accident.
“We send our deepest condolences to his loved ones and we continue to work closely with the authorities.”
The death is the second at a music festival this Bank Holiday weekend.
