After Chanel gained an unexpected extra runway model, it was supermodel Gigi Hadid to the rescue.
Spectator videos from a show on the final day of Paris Fashion Week Tuesday morning depict a woman not affiliated with the brand rising from the audience and casually joining the line of models making their way down the catwalk during the show’s finale. Most of them didn’t bat an eye and continued walking.
With no security guards immediately in sight, Hadid blocked the woman from continuing and escorted her away. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Chanel and Hadid for comment.
Cardi B, who sat in the audience, told WWD she “loved the show,” but “got a little scared when the girl” hopped up on the runway.
Paris Fashion Week, which began Sept. 23, allows major clothing and beauty brands to debut new looks for spring and summer 2020.
Kylie Jenner also made headlines last week after being forced to skip a PFW appearance when she was hospitalized with an undisclosed illness.
She had previously announced that a new collaboration between her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, and designer Olivier Rousteing of Balmain would be unveiled in Paris Friday.
Jenner said she was heartbroken but excited to watch the event.
